Q: What is the difference between custom made to order wigs vs pre made ready to order wigs?
A: Custom made to order wigs are custom made wigs customized to your head size measurements & hairline, made to your specific order instructions; cap size, desired hair color, hairstyle, and ready to install lace. A pre made wig is a wig sold exactly as it is shown on the website; hairstyle, hair color, cap size, and hairline. No further customizations are included with ready to order wigs it is ready to order & install.
Q: How do I know my cap size measurements?
A: To measure your cap size you will need to measure your head in 3 main areas using a measuring tape: Ear to ear across your forehead, ear to ear in your nape (neck) area, and ear to ear horizontally across the top of your head.
Q: What if my custom made wig is too small or too big?
A: You should always double check the cap sizing chart PRIOR to placing a custom made order, if your wig does not properly fit your head please refer to the return policy or contact info@shopherglamhair.com for more information
Q: Can I provide my own hair for custom made wigs?
A: You may provide hair for custom made wigs when purchased from HGHB, the hair must have been purchased within the last 180 days (6 months) and can be previously worn or styled but must be in reusable condition.
Q: What is the expected turnaround time for custom wigs and glam formation orders?
A: All custom made wigs have an expected order processing and shipping time of 30 days (or less) based on the inventory and custom needs of the order. Glamformation orders have an expected turnaround time of 7-10 days from the date we receive your hair, once your hair has been received we will begin working on your order (shipping times not included)
Q: What is the difference between a frontal and a closure?
A: A frontal is a scalp like ear to ear hair piece which mimics a realistic hairline. Frontals offer a variety of hair styles such as half up / down styles, sleek pony tails, and can be parted down the middle or on the side. Closures are a smaller version of a frontal and generally only cover the top of the hairline to the crown of the head depending on which size. Closures are less maintenance, do not have a full hairline, and can be worn clueless. Lace closures are great for persons who only wish to wear middle or side part styles only.
Q: How long is shipping and order processing?
A: After your order has been placed it may take up to 3 days to process your order, shipping is generally 7-10 days after your order has been processed. For non custom orders you can expect your order to be shipped to you in up to 15 days after placing your order. Custom orders of any kind may take up to 30 days (processing & shipping) based on inventory and desired hair textures / styles.
Q: How many bundles do I need?
A: For any standard full hairstyle (no hair leave out) we recommend you purchase at minimum 2-3 bundles of any hair texture. For shorter lengths 8in-12in the max recommended are 2 bundles if purchasing a frontal or closure, 14-20in lengths with closure or frontal minimum 3 bundles, 20-28inchs with frontal minimum 3 bundles, with closure minimum 4 bundles. For longer lengths 22-30in at minimum 4-5 bundles are recommended for fuller looking hair.
Q: What type of hair is Herglam hair?
A: We offer high quality premium virgin hair in a variety of textures such as straight, body wave, deep wave, and curly. All hair textures can be shampooed, colored, & heat styled. Please refer to the hair care guide for how to properly care for your extensions!
